An anthropomorphic approach to how animal behaviour relates to humans. Showcasing painting and Sculpture with a context of Morden medium and their quality to transform not only the artwork but the future itself.
To anthropomorphise is to believe that we are the centre of everything where in reality we are part of everything. It's more then empathy but a will to understand, to shed our skin and look straight to the eyes of those who live in the same world with us. To know what it means to be an animal and a human on this same planet.
The work in this exhibition represents an interest in abandoned materials including metal and MDF boards. There is a focus on the nature of repurposed materials which have already been altered by a previous user. The anonymous alterations made to the materials affect the production of the works and force the artist to make decisions that reflect both their own ideas as well as the inherent qualities of the materials used. Abandoned materials are useless but they still carry a potential to prove themselves important. We usually take things for granted and only learn their true value when we are deprived of them.
